How We Work

Planning

We begin each project by working with you to identify the needs and background of your target audience, define the kinds of information you want to deliver to your audience, and determine the most effective formats (printed manuals, electronic books, online help systems, web documents) for delivering your information. At the same time, we will work with you to identify critical project dates, because documentation should never delay a project that is ready for release.

Development

We work with your engineers and marketing people to develop documentation materials consistent with your marketing message. We are equally comfortable writing conceptual overviews for non-technical readers and developing API documentation for network administrators and programmers. A project's complexity and urgency determines how frequently we meet with your engineers and staff; we typically meet with a client at least once a week to ensure effective two-way communication.

Production

When a project is complete, we act as a production resource, working with printers, MIS staff, and third-party web hosting companies to ensure that you are completely satisfied. If a project includes web pages, we can help you set up and maintain a web site. If a project includes printed materials, we will deliver print-ready files or hardcopy output. We can even help you select a printer and help you identify ways to cut printing/production costs.
